Limited Scope
Buy-Side Engagement

It doesn’t matter what stage of the acquisition process you’re in, there always seems to come a time when you wish you had someone on your side to

help see the transaction through to closing. It could be early on when you’re trying to evaluate a business or draft an LOI, much later when you’re down to the last few terms of the purchase

agreement, or anywhere in between. NorthStar’s Limited Scope Buy-Side Engagement is designed for you if you’ve

already identified a business you want to buy and just need guidance and consultation to get from where you are to a successful closing.

Our goal is to pick up right where you are and lead you through the needed steps to complete your acquisition as quickly, efficiently, and successfully as possible.

Full Scope
Buy-Side Engagement

Some buyers prefer to have an advisor by their side throughout the duration of the business acquisition process. They don’t want to hunt for deals, but would rather have someone else do the legwork for them, cutting down the time and effort needed to even begin their search. If you need assistance locating, researching and evaluating
acquisition opportunities to find a suitable target, in addition to representation throughout the process, NorthStar’s Full Scope Buy-Side Engagement is the program to consider. In this instance we’ll start at the beginning with you, building your “buyer profile” and setting out to locate multiple on-market opportunities for you.

From there, we’ll guide you through the entire process through to closing.

Targeted Scope
Buy-Side Engagement

NorthStar’s Targeted Scope Buy-Side Engagement option takes the Full Scope program one step further. Instead of assisting buyers with locating and evaluating on-market deals, the Targeted Scope engagement also seeks out off-market targets that could be great opportunities. This representation level is designed for those buyers looking to acquire a specific type of business that requires us to employ a direct marketing campaign to reach potential

off-market acquisition targets.

This is a plan built for those buyers that are not looking just for “available” businesses as

much as a “specific” business, and need help approaching those targets confidentially.

Buy-Side
Acquisition Coaching

What if none of these formal buy-side representation options are quite what you need, and you’re really just looking for some consultation and coaching on some specific aspects of the business acquisition process? We can help you, too! NorthStar’s Buy-Side Acquisition Coaching program provides you with four one-hour video conferences, following a 30-minute complimentary consultation, to cover your specific questions, grant you access to acquisition document templates, and refer you to other professionals, such as transaction attorneys, that you
may need to assist you with specific aspects of your individual deal challenges and needs.
