M&A Project Manager
Connor Ligon
Few finance graduates can say they are seasoned veterans of the M&A industry just two years after graduating, but Connor is the rare exception. Connor is an M&A Project Manager at NorthStar Mergers & Acquisitions, having joined the firm immediately after completing his degree in Finance at Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business. Prior to joining NorthStar, he spent three years working with the firm’s sister company, Mastery Partners, gaining early, hands-on exposure to lower-middle-market M&A and business advisory work. At NorthStar, Connor plays a central role in transaction preparation and execution. His primary responsibilities include the development of confidential information memorandums (CIMs), marketing materials, and buyer-facing assets, as well as managing deal flow and supporting sellers throughout the sale process. He also contributes to valuation analysis, financial modeling, buyer outreach strategy, and internal process development. In addition, Connor assists with due diligence coordination and supports transactions through closing. Connor is particularly focused on how businesses are positioned to the market, focusing on financial accuracy, narrative clarity, and, most of all, discretion to ensure owners are represented thoughtfully and effectively. Outside of work, Connor is an avid collector and preserver of vintage media, with a particular passion for vinyl records and antique books. He enjoys traveling, live music, spending time with his husband and family, and is always on the hunt for the next piece of analog history worth preserving.
